Melissa is a highly sought after teacher of folk music and non-classical styles. She has taught at the Mike Block String Camp, The Kenossee Lake Kitchen Party, the Flapping Fiddle School, among others. She frequently teaches fiddling workshops in schools, and has recently been seen performing on stage with world class musicians including Natalie Haas, Rushad Eggleston, Brittany Haas, Casey Driessen, Joe K. Walsh, Hanneke Cassel, Mike Block, and many more.
Melissa is also a member of the Irish trio, Maggie’s Boots, a founding member of the chamber-folk sextet, The Sound Accord (link to TSA page), in addition to band member for all-girl Christian group, The SEEN Collective. She is also passionate about playing in pit orchestras, and has performed on stage at the American Music Theater, the Fulton Opera House, (Lancaster, PA), the Walnut Street Theater (Philadelphia), among many other local and community theater companies.
In the fall of 2020, Melissa’s musical contributions were included as a part of the Emmy Award Winning project “Together Apart,” created by Joseph Gordon Levitt’s production company, HitRecord.
