Vocal
Melissa began her singing career at age eight, when she sang with Kenny Rodgers at the Valley Forge Music Fair. From there, she went on to sing with the Kennett Symphony Children's Chorus and Youth Chorale for almost a decade, touring internationally with the group, and, more locally, performing with various orchestras including the Kennett, Delaware, Newark, and Hilton Head Symphonies. Later, in 2007, Melissa was a featured vocal soloist with the Delaware Valley Chorale for the city of Wilmington's 4th of July Celebration.
In 2009, Melissa joined Khorikos, an a cappella early music ensemble in NYC, and went on to premier Georgi Andreev's oratorio, A Melancholy Beauty, with the National Symphony Orchestra in the "Songs of Life" choral festival. Directed by Maestro Henry Leck, they performed the work in Wang Hall, (Boston) Avery Fisher Hall, (Lincoln Center, NYC), as well as The Kennedy Center (Washington DC).
Melissa has also been on stage in numerous theater productions. Visit the Theater page for additional information.
